Furapalooza 2013

Join us for Furapalooza 2013!
Bring the family to the first annual dog friendly 5k and 1 mile run/walk to benefit kids and dogs. The event will be held October 19th at 9am at the US Cellular park in west Knoxville. The 5k walk/run will start at 9 am, and the 1 mile will start about 9:05 am. Both should be done around 10-10:30 am for those wanting to catch the University of Tennessee vs. South Carolina game later on in the day.
We are super excited that H.A.L.T. was chosen as the charity partner. They were looking for family, kids and dogs and we were the perfect fit! Proceeds will benefit H.A.L.T. and the US Cellular Soccer Complex park and grounds fund.
Register online to get the early registration price. We have two courses depending on how far you want to go. Everyone that participates will get a swag bag for you and your dog. We’ll have a face painter, some awards for the kids, and we’ll also have 5 dog-themed awards if you have a pooch you want to show off! Country Dog Coats will also be on hand showing off the latest fashions. Registration day of the event will start at 7:30 am. Check out entry fees and prizes here.

We are hoping for at least 500-800 participants our first year, and want to make this an annual event. We’d love to see all of you and our past dog graduates there!
